The Kobelco CKS800 crawler crane delivers solid performance in an 80-ton capacity class, combining reliability and flexibility in lifting operations. With a maximum lifting capacity of 80 tons at a 3.0-meter working radius, the CKS800 is engineered to handle demanding tasks with precision and efficiency. Its boom length ranges from 9.1 meters up to 54.9 meters, using welded lattice construction of high-tensile steel tubular chords with pin connections between sections. For extended reach, the crane can be configured with fixed jibs offering maximum combinations of 42.7 meters plus 18.3 meters, or 45.7 meters plus 12.2 meters, expanding operational versatility on site.

The crane is powered by a HINO J08E-VM water-cooled turbocharged diesel engine producing 213 kW at 2,100 rpm, offering reliable power to operate the three variable displacement piston pumps that provide smooth hydraulic control for hoisting, swinging, and traveling. The hydraulic system operates at a maximum pressure of 31.9 MPa, ensuring precise, responsive function of the load hoist and boom hoist systems.

The load hoist features front and rear drums capable of handling 22 mm wire rope with a maximum rated line pull of 78.5 kN and line speeds up to 120 meters per minute, supporting both heavy and fast lifting tasks. Swing operations are powered through hydraulic motors driving spur gears via planetary reducers, delivering a smooth 360-degree rotation at a swing speed of 4 rpm.

The lower structure features hydraulically extendable crawler assemblies with sealed track rollers for reduced maintenance, and 800 mm wide crawler shoes for improved stability. It achieves a maximum travel speed of 1.7 km/h and gradeability of 40%, providing reliable movement across uneven ground conditions. Operating weight of the crane is approximately 75.1 tons, including 27.2 tons of counterweight, ensuring solid stability during lifts.

The operator cab is fully enclosed with safety glass and comes equipped with air conditioning, ergonomic high-backed seating, and user-friendly controls and displays. Safety features include hydraulic fail-safe brakes, drum locks, external ratchets on drums, and an optional counterweight self-removal system, enabling easier transport and assembly.
