Liebherr LR 1100

Introduced as part of Liebherr’s advanced series of crawler cranes, the LR 1100 is engineered for efficient heavy lifting and diverse construction applications. With a robust lifting capacity of up to 100 metric tons, the LR 1100 comes equipped with a lattice-type main boom offering lengths of up to 68 meters, complemented by flexible jib attachments. A fixed jib ranging from 11 to 32 meters and a luffing jib with a maximum length of 62 meters significantly extend the crane’s reach, allowing a maximum combined boom and jib length of 83 meters.

The crane is powered by a Liebherr D936 L A6 diesel engine, which delivers 270 kW (362 hp) at 2,000 rpm. It complies with EPA/CARB Tier 3 and EC Stage III emission regulations, ensuring environmental compatibility. The LR 1100’s advanced hydraulic system uses a double axial displacement pump to deliver simultaneous, smooth, and efficient operation of all crane functions, maintaining peak working pressure up to 350 bar.

The winch system, featuring dual winches each with a line pull of up to 175 kN, supports high lifting speeds of up to 136 meters per minute, facilitating productivity on time-sensitive projects. The main and boom winches are propelled by planetary gearboxes, incorporating hydraulically activated multi-disc brakes for safe and precise lifting control.

This crane sits on a wide crawler base equipped with 900-mm flat track shoes, offering superior ground-bearing stability (1.14 kg/cm²) and a travel speed of up to 1.35 km/h. The LR 1100 features Liebherr’s proprietary control system, which is capable of handling extreme conditions and includes intuitive multi-directional joysticks for simultaneous operation of boom, swing, and winches.

Safety and operator comfort are prioritized, with noise reduction meeting the stringent 2000/14/EC outdoor directive and comprehensive safety systems including load moment limiters, anti-collision protection, and fully proportional hydraulic control.
