Product Description
The Sany SCC5000WE is a 500-ton crawler crane developed for high-capacity lifting, with a particular focus on the wind energy sector. Its capabilities make it ideal for tasks such as erecting large wind turbines, handling prefabricated components, and conducting long-reach operations in power plant and infrastructure developments.
The crane features a main boom with a maximum length of 108 meters, constructed using high-tensile steel to minimize flex while maintaining lifting strength. It can be configured with a luffing jib up to 96 meters, resulting in a maximum boom + jib combination of 156 meters, offering exceptional vertical and horizontal lifting capability.
The SCC5000WE is powered by a Cummins QSX15 diesel engine rated at 350 kW (470 hp) at 1,900 rpm, ensuring strong and consistent performance for demanding hoisting operations. This engine meets Tier III emissions standards, combining environmental compliance with high torque output.
Crane performance parameters include:
- Main/auxiliary hoist speed: up to 110 m/min
- Boom luffing speed: 46 m/min
- Luffing jib hoist speed: 52 m/min
- Slewing speed: up to 1.5 rpm
- Travel speed: 1.1 km/h
- Gradeability: 30%
The crane’s control system integrates an advanced load moment indicator (LMI), real-time diagnostics, and overload protection. Operator controls are centralized in a spacious and climate-controlled cab equipped with ergonomic seating, a large viewing area, and multi-function LCD touchscreens for crane operation and monitoring.
With an operating weight exceeding 400 tons, the SCC5000WE is built with a modular frame and transport-friendly components. Its extendable crawler undercarriage ensures excellent ground stability during lifts and improved distribution of ground pressure.
In essence, the Sany SCC5000WE stands out in the heavy crawler crane market for its purpose-built design for wind turbine erection. Its combination of long boom capability, high lifting power, and advanced control systems makes it a top choice for wind energy contractors and heavy lift operators dealing with complex, high-altitude installation projects.
