The Kato NK-75 is one of the most powerful truck cranes in Kato’s hydraulic lineup, developed to address the need for high-capacity lifting in infrastructure, industrial, and urban construction settings. Designed with a rated capacity of 75,000 kg (75 tons), this machine combines a heavy-duty structure with smooth hydraulic performance to tackle the most demanding lifts. The crane’s upper machinery is powered by a Mitsubishi 8DC20C engine, a water-cooled 8-cylinder diesel producing 200 horsepower at 2,000 rpm, with a continuous rated output of 170 HP. The carrier unit is driven by a Mitsubishi 8DC2-T engine producing 330 HP at 2,300 rpm. This dual-engine setup supports both high-performance lifting and dependable road travel, with the chassis configured in an 8×4 axle arrangement. The NK-75 can reach a travel speed of up to 57 km/h and has a minimum turning radius of 12 meters, allowing it to move efficiently between job sites.

Operational control is refined with a three-lever hydraulic system for boom extension and jib adjustment, providing precise maneuverability. Swinging is smooth and responsive with a slewing speed of 1.5 rpm. The hoisting system utilizes dual-speed winches with maximum hoisting speeds of 50 m/min (high) and 25 m/min (low), complemented by a power load lowering device for fine control during delicate lifts.

Operator safety and comfort are central to the NK-75’s design. The cab features a cut-back front for improved visibility, shatterproof safety glass windows, and a well-padded contour seat. Integrated safety features include an overhoist alarm, drum tacho meter, boom angle indicator, drum lock, and outriggers with locking devices and oil pressure safety valves. These ensure secure lifting operations under a wide range of working conditions.
