Product Description

The Sany STC550 truck crane represents a blend of strength, precision, and advanced hydraulic engineering for mid-capacity lifting operations. It boasts a maximum lifting capacity of 55 tons, supported by a five-section U-shaped boom made from fine-grain high-strength steel. This boom extends from 11.5 meters to 43 meters, with an additional 16-meter jib, enabling a maximum lifting height of 59.2 meters.

Built on a robust 8×4 chassis, the STC550 is powered by a 250 kW diesel engine delivering 1425 Nm of torque at 1200 rpm, compliant with Euro III emission standards. The truck can achieve travel speeds up to 85 km/h, with a minimum turning radius of 12 meters and gradeability of 40%, allowing efficient navigation even on rugged terrains. Fuel consumption is rated at ≤45 L per 100 km, balancing performance with fuel efficiency.

The hydraulic system features load-sensitive, variable displacement piston pumps, along with flow-compensating main valves and load feedback control. This ensures precise and smooth control, supporting both single and compound actions. The main and auxiliary winches use electronically controlled motors, delivering rope speeds of up to 130 m/min, with a maximum rope length of 220 meters on the main winch.

The slewing system allows 360° continuous rotation with a maximum slewing speed of 2 r/min, aided by a buffer valve that ensures smooth operation. The luffing angle ranges from -2° to 80°, allowing flexible load placement, and the telescoping boom uses dual-cylinder rope operation for efficient deployment and retraction.

The crane is stabilized by H-type outriggers, extending to a footprint of 6 × 7.2 meters, offering a strong and stable base. Safety systems include a highly accurate load moment limiter (±3% margin), angle and pressure sensors, over-rolling limiters, and real-time system diagnostics. The crane carries a 3.5-ton fixed counterweight for stability.

Operator comfort is emphasized in both the upper and lower cabs. The upper cab includes a panoramic sunroof, adjustable seats, and full-coverage interior, while the driving cab features swing-out doors, pneumatically suspended seats, air conditioning, and a complete instrumentation suite.

Altogether, the Sany STC550 is an advanced truck crane tailored for urban and industrial construction tasks, combining reach, strength, and sophisticated hydraulic and safety systems to deliver exceptional operational reliability.
