Product Description

The XCMG QY160K represents the pinnacle of XCMG’s high-capacity hydraulic truck crane series, offering a rated lifting capacity of 160 tonnes. This heavy-duty mobile crane is engineered for demanding lifting applications across infrastructure, power plant construction, and large-scale industrial projects. It is fitted with a five-section main boom that extends up to 62 meters, and with the addition of a 28-meter jib, the maximum lifting height reaches 88.6 meters.

The crane is mounted on a 6-axle chassis (16 wheels total), which provides the foundation for its excellent roadability and heavy-load support. Powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM460LA.E3A/1 engine, it delivers a maximum output of 361.1 kW at 1,800 rpm, complying with China’s National III emission standards. This engine allows the QY160K to travel at speeds up to 80 km/h with a fuel consumption of 75 liters per 100 kilometers under standard travel conditions.

Operationally, the crane supports hoisting speeds of up to 110 m/min for both main and auxiliary winches. It offers a slewing speed range of 0 to 1.3 rpm, while boom elevation and deployment operations are efficient with lifting readiness achieved in under 500 seconds. The crane’s approach and departure angles are 20° and 14° respectively, providing good maneuverability in job site conditions, with a minimum turning radius of 24 meters and a ground clearance of 300 mm.

The QY160K’s outriggers provide stability during lifting with a span of 7.8 meters longitudinally and 8.0 meters transversely when fully extended. The boom foot pin height is 13.2 meters and can be combined with jib extensions set at angles of 0°, 15°, or 30° for versatile lifting applications.

At a total vehicle mass of 62 tonnes in travel condition, the axle load distribution is managed carefully, with front axles bearing up to 7,500 kg each, and the rear axles configured to handle greater loads—especially critical for road-legal mobility and jobsite stability. The overall dimensions of the vehicle are 15.13 meters in length, 3 meters in width, and 3.99 meters in height.

The XCMG QY160K combines raw lifting power, optimized boom design, and road mobility into a single high-performance package, suitable for lifting tasks that require both reach and heavy payload capability.
