Product Description
The XCMG QY16C is a full hydraulic truck-mounted crane purpose-built for flexibility, strength, and reliability across a variety of lifting operations. Designed on a proprietary chassis, it comes equipped with engine options including the Shanghai 6C215-2, WD415.21, or SC8DK230Q3 (Euro III-compliant), each capable of delivering up to 170 kW of power and torque up to 831 Nm. This engine setup allows the QY16C to reach travel speeds up to 70 km/h while maintaining excellent mobility with a minimum turning diameter of just 20 meters and a gradeability of 25%.
This model features a newly developed 3-section hexagonal boom with single-cylinder and wire rope telescoping for improved load capacity and reach. The boom extends from a base length of 9.9 meters to 23.6 meters, and up to 30.6 meters with an optional 4.8-meter jib. The crane supports a maximum rated lifting load of 16 tons and a maximum load moment of 186 kN·m when fully configured. Hydraulic outriggers extend to 5400 mm laterally and 4800 mm longitudinally, ensuring robust stability during lifts.
Designed for operator safety and comfort, the QY16C includes a steel cab with sound insulation, optional air conditioning, an adjustable seat, and a user-friendly control interface. Operational systems are streamlined with dual winches delivering 54 m/min under full load, a slewing speed of 2.5 rpm using a cycloid cylindrical gear reducer, and rapid boom raising and extension times of 60 and 75 seconds respectively.
Additional safety and reliability features include a gravity-lowering device in the winch, closed external meshing brake system, roll-over protection, and air dryer systems. The crane structure includes a boom belly-mounted jib, large box-type frame for high torsion resistance, and wide outrigger spread for enhanced load stability. Optional configurations are available for high-altitude operations, making the QY16C suitable even in plateau environments with foul conditions.
