Key Features & Benefits
The Zoomlion ZTC1100V653 was introduced as a new-generation high-performance truck crane developed using Zoomlion’s experience in mobile crane engineering together with advanced hydraulic and electronic control technologies. According to the manufacturer, the crane was designed to achieve internationally advanced performance levels in lifting height, boom length, working speed, and lifting capacity within the 110-ton truck crane class.
The crane adopts a full-slewing hydraulic truck crane design with telescopic boom sections and electro-hydraulic proportional control systems. The crane is mounted on Zoomlion’s self-manufactured full-width four-axle special carrier chassis utilizing an 8×4 drive configuration with hydraulically powered steering systems to improve maneuverability and driving stability.
Overall transport dimensions measure approximately 15,000 mm in length, 2,850 mm in width, and 3,820 mm in height. Total travelling weight is approximately 50 tonnes with axle loads distributed at 24 tonnes on the front axle group and 26 tonnes on the rear axle group.
The ZTC1100V653 achieves a maximum travelling speed of 90 km/h while maximum gradeability is rated at 40%. Minimum turning diameter is approximately 23 m and minimum ground clearance is rated at 310 mm. Fuel consumption is specified at approximately 46 liters per 100 km under travelling conditions.
The superstructure utilizes a five-section telescopic boom fabricated from high-strength steel designed to provide strong lifting performance throughout a wide working range. The boom extends hydraulically from a basic length of 12.5 m to a maximum fully extended length of 58.5 m. Maximum boom operating angle ranges from -2° to +80°.
The crane delivers a maximum rated lifting capacity of 110 tonnes with a maximum lifting moment of 3,480 kN·m on the basic boom. Maximum lifting moment on the fully extended main boom reaches approximately 1,728 kN·m. Maximum lifting height on the main boom is approximately 59.2 m, while maximum lifting height with jib reaches approximately 83.5 m.
The jib system includes optional lattice jib configurations measuring 10.4 m, 17.5 m, and 24.5 m together with an optional 7 m extension section. Jib offset angles of 0°, 15°, and 30° are available depending on operating requirements. An optional 3 m tip boom with a fixed 30° angle can also be installed for specialized lifting operations.
The hydraulic system adopts electro-hydraulic proportional directional control combined with load feedback technology utilizing variable displacement pumps and gear pump systems. According to Zoomlion, this arrangement allows each hydraulic function to fully utilize available working capability while providing smooth and stepless control characteristics.
The crane uses left and right hydraulic joysticks capable of simultaneous multi-function operations including hoisting, boom luffing, slewing, and boom telescoping. The electro-hydraulic proportional control system was designed to improve operational precision and working efficiency during complex lifting operations.
Safety systems integrated into the hydraulic circuits include relief valves, balance valves, hydraulic locks, and brake valves intended to prevent accidents caused by overload situations or hydraulic pipe failures. The crane is additionally equipped with a load moment limiter system and integrated electronic safety monitoring devices for lifting control and overload protection.
Main winch maximum single-line rope speed reaches approximately 140 m/min while the auxiliary winch achieves approximately 130 m/min. Boom derricking time from minimum to maximum angle requires approximately 60 seconds while full boom telescoping out time is approximately 430 seconds. Maximum slewing speed reaches approximately 1.6 rpm.
The outrigger system adopts a hydraulic H-type arrangement with a longitudinal outrigger span of 6.38 m and maximum transverse span of 8.0 m under full extension. Intermediate outrigger extension width is approximately 5.3 m. Tail slewing radius is rated at approximately 4,420 mm.
The crane incorporates complete lighting systems and electronic safety devices intended to improve operational safety during night work and difficult lifting conditions. The operator cab was developed with emphasis on visibility, spaciousness, and operator comfort, while the full-width carrier cab provides improved driving ergonomics and operational convenience.
One of the notable features of the ZTC1100V653 is its combination of long 58.5 m main boom, high travelling speed, and relatively compact four-axle carrier configuration, allowing the crane to perform both urban and long-distance lifting assignments efficiently while maintaining strong lifting performance throughout its working range.
