Galion 150A
The Galion 150A is a 15-ton (13.6 metric ton) rough terrain crane featuring a 3- or 4-section boom, powered by a Komatsu diesel engine, with excellent mobility, strong lift charts, and straightforward mechanical control for efficient lifting on job sites.

Product Description
The Galion 150A is a robust rough terrain crane engineered for versatile lifting tasks in construction and industrial applications. It is powered by a Komatsu S6D102E-1 turbocharged diesel engine, delivering 121 net horsepower (90.3 kW) at 2,500 rpm. With a torque output of 368 lb-ft (499 Nm) at 1,200 rpm, the crane ensures steady performance even in high-demand operations and is rated to operate up to 10,000 feet (3048 meters) altitude without power loss.
The drivetrain is a 6-speed range-type power shift transmission with torque converter, offering forward and reverse speeds up to 26.5 mph (42.6 km/h). The 4×4 drivetrain is supported by hydrostatic front steering and hydraulic rear steering, including NoSpin® differential on the front axle and an automatic rear axle disconnect for improved off-road traction and maneuverability.
The Galion 150A features two boom options:
- A 3-section boom with horizontal reach from 18’2″ to 37’6″ (5.53 m to 11.43 m)
- A 4-section boom with extended reach up to 60 feet (18.29 m)
Both configurations provide a 70° elevation angle and 360° continuous swing with a tail swing clearance of 8’8″ (2.64 m). The maximum hook height (horizontal) is 66’¾” (20.00 m).
The crane’s hydraulics are driven by tandem pumps rated at 50 and 30 GPM (189 & 114 l/min). Swing speed is 4.4 rpm, with outrigger deployment times of 3.3 seconds up and 3.9 seconds down. Boom topping and lowering speeds are 18.9 and 17.8 seconds, respectively.
Hoist capabilities include:
- Single line pull (bare drum): 7,500 lb (3,402 kg)
- Line speed (max): 252 fpm (76.8 m/min) in high gear
- Hoist drum capacity: 450 ft. of ⅝” cable (137.2 m)
- Standard rigging: 5-part line
- Maximum hook speed: 70 ft/min (21.3 m/min)
The crane frame spans 15’6¼” (4.73 m) overall length, with a box-section design for torsional strength. Outriggers are 15 feet (4.57 m) and the overall weight with outriggers is approximately 41,800 lb (18,980 kg).
Safety and control features include hydraulic power brakes on all wheels, mechanical parking brake, and full hydraulic joystick operation for all crane functions.
The Galion 150A stands as a dependable and efficient rough terrain crane, well-suited for utility work, small-scale infrastructure lifting, and tight-space construction jobs where a strong and maneuverable 15-ton machine is required.
