Product Description
The Kato KR-30H-III was introduced as a next-generation rough terrain crane focused on operator usability and advanced field performance. Built with a class-leading 34-meter five-section full-power boom, this model maximizes lifting versatility and speed in medium-duty lifting tasks. The boom extends hydraulically from 9.1 to 34.0 meters, and with the 12.8-meter jib, the crane achieves a total lifting height of 48.2 meters. This capability places the KR-30H-III at the forefront of its category for height and reach, particularly valuable in high-rise construction or plant installations.
The KR-30H-III is built for tight-space maneuverability and compact job sites. A standout feature is its minimal rear swing radius of just 3.22 meters, allowing the crane to work effectively in narrow streets and crowded environments. It also features a high boom elevation angle of 82°, which, paired with a rearward boom mounting position and strong front-push telescopic cylinders, enhances performance in tight approach work and lifting close to structures.
Mobility is a core strength of this model. It supports multi-mode steering including 2-wheel, 4-wheel, and crab steering. The 4-wheel counter-phase steering reduces the turning radius to just 5.8 meters, allowing precise positioning even in confined locations. King-pin angle-equipped axles improve straight-line and high-speed driving stability. For off-road or uneven terrain, approach and departure angles ensure excellent traction and entry/exit movement.
The KR-30H-III is powered by a 225 PS engine, offering the ideal combination of high output and fuel efficiency. It supports a max travel speed of approximately 49 km/h and is compliant with standard on-road travel conditions without the need to dismount the hook or boom. The use of steel radial tubeless tires provides excellent load-bearing capacity and off-road durability.
Inside the cab, the crane emphasizes operator comfort and control. The cab offers wide visibility, ergonomic controls, and a microprocessor-based ACS (Automatic Safety Control System) with visual and audible alarms. Digital indicators monitor load, angle, and extension status in real-time, enabling safer and more productive operation. The dual winch system with two motors supports independent and simultaneous hoisting with high torque and speed. Hydraulic free/lock slew selection enhances boom positioning control during operation.
In summary, the Kato KR-30H-III is a high-performance rough terrain crane that excels in height-restricted and congested work environments. With a top-tier boom system, intelligent steering, compact rear swing, and operator-focused controls, it is a powerful tool for urban construction, utility work, and general lifting operations demanding both reach and flexibility.
