Product Description

The Link-Belt HSP-8060 debuted as a high-performance rough terrain crane built to endure tough job site environments while delivering reliable lifting performance. Its primary lifting system consists of a four-section, synchronized boom with lengths ranging from 35 to 110 feet (10.67 to 33.53 meters). The boom is constructed using high-tensile steel, engineered with formed side plates for added torsional rigidity and anti-friction pads for smooth extension. An optional 33-foot (10.06-meter) stowable fly jib and 25-foot (7.62-meter) stowable lattice A-frame jib provide additional reach with various offset angles at 5°, 17.5°, and 30°.

The crane’s main hoisting system includes a 5-sheave boom head with two removable rope guards and optional auxiliary sheave for multi-line reeving. Standard winch configurations enable a line pull of up to 15,870 pounds (7,199 kg) at a line speed of 548 ft/min (167 m/min). Rated capacity indicators and anti-two block systems ensure safe operations, with optional electronic load monitoring and boom angle displays available.

Powered by either a GM 6V53N (2-stroke, 6-cylinder) or an optional Cummins V-555-C diesel engine (8-cylinder, 4-stroke), the crane offers peak torque outputs of 485 lb-ft and 625 lb-ft, respectively. It uses a Clark 3-speed, 2-range power shift transmission allowing six forward and two reverse speeds with selectable 2 or 4-wheel drive. Maximum travel speed reaches 33.79 km/h with a gradeability of up to 147%.

Mounted on a high-strength steel chassis with a 151-inch (3.84-meter) wheelbase, the HSP-8060 has four hydraulic beam and jack outriggers that extend to 23 ft 7 in (7.2 m) and retract within a 10 ft 10 in (3.30 m) travel width. The crane uses Rockwell planetary drive axles, with optional no-spin differential and automatic hydraulic rear axle lockout. Suspension consists of a rigid front axle and rear pin-mounted axle with oscillation lockouts.

The operator cab is designed for all-weather protection and visibility, with acoustical insulation, a sliding door, roof vent, and full instrumentation including hydraulic oil pressure, engine temperature, and load indicators. Swing functions are driven by a bi-directional hydraulic motor with a swing speed of 2.45 rpm and 360° smooth rotation.

Additional features include a hydraulic system with a tandem, triple gear pump (2,700 psi or 186.25 bars), 530-liter hydraulic reservoir, and optional auxiliary winch, air conditioning, diesel heater, grooved drums, and advanced monitoring tools for both operator and engine safety.

Overall, the Link-Belt HSP-8060 is a well-balanced mid-capacity crane ideal for heavy lifts in confined and rugged terrain, offering flexibility through optional attachments and robust performance through its powerful drive and lifting systems.
