Tadano GR-250N-1
The Tadano GR-250N-1 is a versatile 25-ton rough terrain crane equipped with a 4-section hydraulically telescoping boom extending to 30.5 meters and a two-stage jib reaching up to 13 meters. Featuring a powerful Mitsubishi turbocharged engine, advanced safety systems, and 4-wheel drive capability, it delivers efficient lifting in compact and demanding job site conditions.

Product Description
The GR-250N-1 from Tadano is engineered to meet the lifting demands of urban and off-road environments. Its primary lifting mechanism is a 4-section hexagonal box-type boom that extends hydraulically from 9.5 meters to 30.5 meters, with an extension speed of 21.0 meters in 90 seconds. This provides a maximum lifting height of 31.3 meters, with a working radius of 28.0 meters.
To extend operational flexibility, the GR-250N-1 is also equipped with a 2-stage jib measuring 8.0 meters or 13.0 meters, which increases the maximum lifting height to 44.2 meters and extends the working radius to 35.0 meters. The jib is a quick-turn type that stows under the base boom and can be manually deployed with offset positions at 5°, 25°, and 45°.
The hoisting system features dual winches—main and auxiliary—both powered by hydraulic motors via spur gear reducers and equipped with free-fall and automatic braking systems. Both winches provide a winding speed of 120 m/min (4th layer), with the main winch offering a hook speed of 15.0 m/min at 8-part-line, and the auxiliary matching the line speed at 1-part-line. Each winch uses a 16 mm spin-resistant wire rope, with the main having a length of 170 meters and the auxiliary 98 meters.
Swing operations use a hydraulic motor with a planetary gear reducer and negative brake system, offering 360° continuous rotation at a swing speed of 2.6 rpm. Boom elevation ranges from 0° to 83°, completed in 45 seconds, powered by a single double-acting hydraulic cylinder.
Outriggers are of the X-type fully hydraulic configuration, independently operable with multiple extension positions ranging from 3.1 m (minimum) to 6.3 m (fully extended). The vertical jack load capacity reaches 26.8 tons. For increased safety and monitoring, the crane is outfitted with Tadano’s AML (Automatic Moment Limiter), swing auto-stop, elevation deceleration, over-winding cutout, and multiple interlocks and safety valves.
The GR-250N-1 is powered by a Mitsubishi 6M60-TLE2A 6-cylinder, 4-cycle, turbocharged and air-cooled diesel engine, delivering 200 kW (272 PS) at 2700 rpm and 785 Nm torque at 1400 rpm. The drive system includes selectable 2WD or 4WD modes, supported by a power shift transmission (4 forward, 1 reverse), hydro-pneumatic suspension, and fully hydraulic power steering with reverse correction.
Weighing 26,495 kg, the crane is built on a compact chassis with a total length of 11,130 mm, width of 2,620 mm, and height of 3,455 mm. The turning radius is as tight as 5.0 meters in 4-wheel steering mode and 8.4 meters in 2-wheel mode. It reaches a maximum road speed of 49 km/h.
Equipped with an air-conditioned cab, foldable seat, power windows, and ergonomic controls including both ISO and Tadano arrangements, the GR-250N-1 offers excellent operator comfort and control. Additional conveniences include a visual-type winch drum rotation indicator, central oiling system, and optional boom side monitor TV.
In summary, the Tadano GR-250N-1 offers powerful lifting, advanced safety, and high maneuverability—making it a reliable choice for a wide range of construction and lifting applications.
