Product Description

The Tadano TR-800XXL-4 is a high-performance rough terrain crane engineered for dependable operation in challenging environments. It is rated at 80 U.S. tons (72.6 metric tons) and features a five-section full-power synchronized telescopic boom extending from 11.5 meters to 44.0 meters. The round hexagonal boom is fitted with seven sheaves at the boom head and supported by wear pads for smooth operation. Boom elevation ranges from -2.0° to 80.7°, accomplished in just 77 seconds, with an automatic speed reduction and soft stop function enhancing operator control.

A two-stage bi-fold lattice jib provides additional versatility, available in lengths of 9.9 meters or 17.7 meters, and can be mounted with tilt offsets of 3.5°, 25°, or 45°. A single top auxiliary lifting sheave is included for lighter single-line operations.

Both the main and auxiliary hoists are powered by hydraulic axial piston motors, offering line speeds of up to 178 m/min and a maximum line pull of 6,880 kg (15,200 lbs). Each drum accommodates 3/4″ (19 mm) wire rope and includes a rotation indicator and automatic braking systems.

Powering the TR-800XXL-4 is a Mitsubishi 6D16-TLEE turbocharged and after-cooled diesel engine producing 166 kW (223 HP) at 2,700 rpm and 521 ft-lb (72 kgm) of torque. The transmission is a full automatic, electronically controlled system with six forward and two reverse speeds, enabling a maximum travel speed of 39 km/h.

The crane’s carrier is built on a 4x4x4 drive/steer chassis with a high-tensile steel monobox frame, planetary axles, and four-mode steering (2-wheel front/rear, 4-wheel coordinated, and crab). The air-over-hydraulic disc brakes ensure dependable stopping, supported by a spring-applied parking brake and an exhaust auxiliary brake.

Outriggers consist of four hydraulically operated beams and jacks, offering four extension positions with automatic feedback to the Tadano AML-L load moment indicator system. The AML-L system continuously monitors load weight, boom angle, length, and radius, providing real-time alerts and automatic adjustments to optimize lifting safety.

With a maximum working radius of over 40 meters using jib configurations and rugged build quality, the Tadano TR-800XXL-4 is designed for high-capacity lifting with maximum control and stability, making it ideal for industrial, infrastructure, and energy sector projects.
