Tutt Bryant Heavy Lift & Shift have introduced the most powerful crane permanently based on the east coast of Australia. Their brand new Sany SCC8000A: 800t capacity superlift crawler crane made its debut on the bridge lift assignment at Auchenflower train station in inner-city Brisbane.

The lift involved the removal of a 221t pedestrian bridge that spanned the rail corridor at Auchenflower station. The load was lifted at a 30.5m radius which the SCC8000A performed with ease.

Countless hours of planning/engineering went into this project. The extremely restrictive build site was on top of a hill with the live rail on one side, overhead powerlines on the other side, and trees at each end, all of which presented TBHLS with many challenges, which were safely and efficiently overcome.
