Product Description

The Grove GMK5130-1 is a 130-ton capacity all-terrain crane that showcases a high level of versatility and power in a compact, mobile package. It features a TWIN-LOCK™ telescopic boom that extends from 12.9 meters to a maximum of 60 meters, allowing a maximum tip height of approximately 63 meters. Additionally, optional swingaway jibs, including bi-fold swingaways of 11 or 18 meters and lattice extensions up to 32 meters, offer flexible lifting configurations up to a 95-meter working height.

The superstructure is powered by a 130 kW Mercedes-Benz OM904LA diesel engine, while the carrier is equipped with a more powerful 380 kW Mercedes-Benz OM502LA engine, ensuring strong travel and lifting performance. The GMK5130-1’s hydraulic system is comprised of two separate circuits, including a load-sensing axial piston pump and gear pump for slewing, all supported by an 840-liter hydraulic oil tank.

A significant strength of the GMK5130-1 lies in its drivability. It employs the MEGATRAK® suspension system, which offers independent hydropneumatic suspension on all five axles. The drive configuration is 10x6x10, with optional 10x8x10, and all axles are steerable, enabling superb on-road handling and off-road agility. The dual-circuit power steering system also includes a crab steering mode for tight job site access.

For lifting operations, the crane features dual slewing gears for smooth and controlled rotation, and a high-torque hoist system powered by an axial piston motor and planetary gearbox. The operator cab is designed for comfort and visibility, tiltable up to 20 degrees, with integrated controls and full electronic systems. The crane employs a sophisticated load moment indicator (LMI) system and anti-two block system, with audio-visual warnings and automatic lock-outs for enhanced operational safety.

The GMK5130-1 also supports modular counterweight configurations ranging from 8.5 tons to a maximum of 40.1 tons, allowing transport optimization and setup flexibility. With the option for additional equipment such as auxiliary hoists, engine-independent heaters, and different tire sizes, the GMK5130-1 is a reliable and adaptable crane choice for a variety of lifting applications.
