Liebherr LTM1300NX

The Liebherr LTM 1300NX is a specialized 300-ton capacity all-terrain crane designed to cater to Japan’s specific transport regulations and operating conditions. Built on a 6-axle carrier, the LTM 1300NX achieves a maximum road speed of 76 km/h and features 12 wheels shod with 16.00 R25 tires. The crane offers exceptional gradient handling of approximately 21.3° when in low gear, and it boasts a minimum turning radius of just 11.4 meters, allowing it to navigate tighter urban roads with ease.

The carrier is powered by a robust Liebherr D9408TI-E 8-cylinder water-cooled diesel engine, delivering 598 horsepower at 1,900 rpm and a peak torque of 265 kgf·m at 1,400 rpm. The fuel tank has a generous 600-liter capacity. The transmission system is provided by Allison and includes a torque converter and retarder, featuring five forward and one reverse gear. The hydraulic suspension is fully hydro-pneumatic, offering both height adjustability and automatic horizontal leveling (Niveauregulierung), with a lockable suspension system for enhanced stability during stationary operations.

On the crane superstructure, the LTM 1300NX is fitted with a six-section telescopic main boom that extends from 15.5 to 72 meters. Two optional jibs—14 to 42 meters in fixed configuration or 17.5 to 70 meters luffing—further extend the lifting reach. The maximum lifting height is 70 meters using the main boom alone, and up to 102 meters when combined with the luffing jib. The crane offers 97.5 tons of counterweight, and can optionally be outfitted with up to 85 tons more for increased lifting performance.

The crane is equipped with two 10.7-ton line winches, offering line speeds of up to 135 m/min with various rope capacities. The upper superstructure is driven by a separate Liebherr D924TI-E 4-cylinder diesel engine producing 245 HP and 110 kgf·m of torque, with a 250-liter fuel tank. Control is joystick-based with pilot-controlled hydraulics, enabling precise and simultaneous multi-function operation. A full safety package includes the LICCON load moment limiter, pressure relief valves, drum rotation sensors, hydraulic system protection, and digital feedback on the operator’s console.
