Product Description
The SAC2000E was introduced as a high-capacity 200-ton all terrain crane, positioned above the 130-ton class within SANY’s heavy AT range. According to the manufacturer’s technical brochure (October 2020 edition) , the crane delivers a maximum rated lifting capacity of 200 tonnes with a maximum lifting moment of 680 t·m on the main boom.
The crane is fitted with a seven-section oval-shaped main boom fabricated from fine-grain high-strength steel. The basic boom length is 14.1 m, extending hydraulically to a full length of 75.5 m. The independent hydraulic telescoping system completes full extension or retraction in approximately 660 seconds. For extended reach applications, the crane is supplied with a standard 22 m lattice jib, with two optional 7 m inserts increasing maximum jib length to 36 m. With the longest jib configuration, the maximum boom and jib combination reaches 106.6 m, while the standard boom plus jib combination reaches 92.6 m. Jib offset angles are mechanically adjustable at 0°, 20°, and 40°.
The upper structure utilizes a high-performance hydraulic system with dual Rexroth variable piston pumps and Kawasaki electro-proportional variable winch motors, ensuring stable micro-movement and smooth control. Maximum single line hoisting speed for both main and auxiliary winches is 130 m/min under no-load conditions. Slewing is 360° continuous with a maximum slewing speed of 1.5 r/min. Boom luffing time is approximately 60 seconds for raising and 115 seconds for lowering.
A key design feature of the SAC2000E is its modular counterweight system. The total counterweight reaches 70 tonnes and can be hydraulically shifted rearward by 500 mm. In the shifted position, 70 tonnes of counterweight provides an effective lifting performance equivalent to approximately 79 tonnes in conventional configuration. The crane can travel with up to 18 tonnes of combined front and rear counterweight installed, maintaining balanced axle loads. Counterweight installation and removal are controlled via wireless remote, improving jobsite efficiency.
The carrier is a 5-axle all-terrain chassis with a 10×8×10 wheel formula, meaning four axles are driven. The chassis overall dimensions are approximately 16,365 mm in length, 3,000 mm in width, and 4,000 mm in height. Total vehicle mass without jib, hook block, counterweight, spare tire, and certain removable components is about 54,990 kg. Maximum travel speed is 80 km/h, maximum gradeability is 45%, and the minimum turning radius at the tires is 9.5 m.
Power is provided by a Weichai WP13.530 turbocharged and intercooled diesel engine producing 390 kW at 2,100 rpm and 2,200 N·m of torque between 1,200–1,500 rpm. The drivetrain incorporates a German ZF automated transmission with hydraulic retarder, paired with German Kessler transfer case and axles. Axles 1, 2, 4, and 5 are driven, and all axles are steerable. The steering system offers six steering modes including road mode, all-wheel steering, crab steering, reduced swing-out steering, independent rear axle steering, and rear axle lock mode. The suspension system is hydro-pneumatic with hydraulic lockout and height adjustment of ±145 mm, ensuring stability and comfort across varying terrain.
The outrigger system adopts an H-type configuration with a longitudinal span of 9.1 m and transverse span of 8.3 m. Fully hydraulic extension and automatic leveling improve setup efficiency and lifting stability.
The operator’s cab is tiltable from 0° to 20° and is designed with corrosion-resistant steel panels, panoramic skylight, ergonomic adjustable seating, and integrated load moment indicator display. The control system uses PLC-based electronic control integrated with a load moment limiter featuring ±5% rated load accuracy through online calibration. Safety devices include hydraulic balance valves, relief valves, dual-direction hydraulic locks, three-wrap rope protection for winches, boom head and jib head height limiters, and a wind speed indicator at the boom tip.
In terms of working performance, the main boom performance table (70 t counterweight shifted 500 mm configuration) shows the crane achieving 200 tonnes at 3 m radius on the 14.1 m boom, with progressively reduced capacities at longer radii and boom extensions. With the 36 m jib installed on boom lengths from 61.4 m to 70.6 m, the crane provides auxiliary lifting capacities ranging approximately from 2.2 tonnes down to below 1 tonne depending on working radius and jib angle.
Overall, the SANY SAC2000E is engineered as a versatile 200-ton all-terrain crane combining long 75.5 m main boom, extended jib options to over 100 m tip height, advanced counterweight shifting technology, 5-axle mobility with 4-axle drive, and a high-efficiency hydraulic system. It is well suited for heavy industrial erection, bridge construction, petrochemical projects, and wind power auxiliary lifting where both reach and mobility are critical.
