Product Description
The Sany STC500 is a 50-ton capacity truck crane engineered for versatility, performance, and ease of operation in mid-heavy lifting projects. Its five-section main boom extends from 11.5 meters to 42.5 meters, and with an optional jib of 16 meters, the crane reaches a maximum lifting height of 58.8 meters. The boom features a partially synchronized telescoping mechanism operated via two cylinders and sheaves, supported by balanced valves for smooth extension and retraction.
Mounted on a 4-axle (8×4) carrier, the STC500 is powered by a Dongfeng Cummins ISLe 340 30 engine producing 250 kW at 2100 rpm, and 1425 Nm of torque at 1400 rpm. This drivetrain, paired with a 9-speed synchronized transmission, enables the crane to travel at speeds up to 85 km/h, with a gradeability of 40%. The turning radius of the crane is 12 meters, and the minimum ground clearance is 342 mm, making it adaptable to challenging site conditions.
The hydraulic system uses a load-adaptive, constant power control axial piston pump, regulating flow and pressure based on operational demands. This design ensures energy efficiency, while maintaining responsive performance across all lifting functions. The main and auxiliary winches are powered by piston pumps and reach single rope speeds of 130 m/min, supporting efficient lifting and lowering with rope lengths of 220 meters (main) and 130 meters (auxiliary).
For rotation, the slewing mechanism operates at up to 2 rpm, buffered by a fixed displacement piston pump to ensure smooth and safe movement. The H-type outriggers provide a wide support base of 7.2 meters longitudinally by 6.0 meters transversely, crucial for maximizing lifting stability.
Safety and monitoring are handled by an integrated LCD control interface that displays real-time data including hook load, boom length, boom angle, and height. The crane is also equipped with a 3.5-ton fixed counterweight, providing balance for high-load conditions. The cab is ergonomically designed, corrosion-resistant, and equipped with heating, ventilation, and other operator comforts.
Overall, the Sany STC500 delivers a robust solution for medium-to-heavy lifting requirements with its combination of long boom reach, efficient hydraulic systems, and solid transport performance, making it a strong choice for contractors and heavy equipment operators.
