Grove RT60S

The Grove RT60S is a compact and durable 18-ton rough terrain crane built to perform lifting tasks in challenging environments such as construction sites, energy facilities, and uneven job terrain. Its primary lifting system includes a 3-section full-power hydraulic boom that telescopes from 8.5 to 21.3 meters. With a 7-meter jib installed, the crane can reach a maximum height of 29 meters, and achieve a total working radius of up to 20 meters.

The crane is rated to lift a maximum of 18,000 kg using outriggers, or up to 8,350 kg (front) and 3,800 kg (rear) in on-rubber configurations. Boom extension is completed in just 33.8 seconds, while boom elevation spans from -7.5° to 75°, with lift speed reaching full elevation in 25 seconds and descent in 14 seconds. The hoisting system features a 115QEC winch with a rope length of 142 meters and a line speed of up to 57 meters per minute.

The RT60S uses a Hino DS70A 6-cylinder diesel engine with a displacement of 7014 cc, producing 124 PS at 2400 rpm and 40 kg-m of torque at 1600 rpm. Travel speeds reach 54 km/h in 2-wheel drive and 25 km/h in 4-wheel drive. It supports a towing force of 14,600 kg and has a climbing ability of 30°. The minimum turning radius is 4.9 meters (4-wheel steer) or 8.4 meters (2-wheel steer), offering tight maneuverability in constrained job sites.

Control and operation are fully hydraulic, with the boom, swing, hoist, and outriggers managed via onboard hydraulic systems. Steering is power-assisted for the front axle, while the rear axle incorporates automatic central locking. Braking is handled by dual air-assisted hydraulic drum brakes on all four wheels. The RT60S rides on 16.00–24–24PR tires and features full-hydraulic H-type outriggers with remote control support.

With a total operating weight of 22,400 kg and dimensions of 10.995 m long × 2.49 m wide × 3.46 m high, the RT60S offers compact transportability. A 190-liter fuel tank supports long operation periods, and the cab is ergonomically designed for operator comfort and visibility.
