The SANY SRC865XL expands on SANY’s rough terrain range with enhanced reach and lifting performance while maintaining high maneuverability and off-road capability. This crane offers a rated lifting capacity of 65 US tons at a 10 ft radius, built on a rugged chassis equipped with AxleTech drive/steer axles and Dana powershift transmission with six forward and reverse gears, providing travel speeds up to 25 mph (40 km/h). The drivetrain’s high-gradeability (111% GVW) and large 29.5 x 25 earthmover-style tires ensure reliable traction and flotation in challenging terrain.

At the core of the SRC865XL’s lifting performance is a five-section sequenced, synchronized, fully powered boom extending from 37.7 ft (11.5 m) to 139.4 ft (42.5 m). The boom offers -2° to 78° elevation, providing a maximum tip height of 146.6 ft (44.7 m) with the boom alone. Adding the 30.2 ft to 52.5 ft (9.2 m to 16 m) bi-fold swing-away extension with 0°, 15°, and 30° offset options increases the maximum tip height to 198.2 ft (60.4 m).

The crane is powered by a Cummins QSB6.7 Tier 3 diesel engine producing 250 hp (186.4 kW) at 2500 rpm and maximum torque delivered through Parker horsepower-limited piston pumps and Husco post-compensated valves. This hydraulic system supports fine control and simultaneous multifunction operation with lower operational cost, enhanced by an oil cooler and high-quality filtration system for long component life.

Both the main and auxiliary hoists use Braden winches controlled independently via pilot-operated hydraulic joysticks. Operator comfort and safety are central to the SRC865XL’s design. The cab is constructed from heavy-duty steel, fully enclosed with tinted safety glass, an opening skylight with visor and wiper, sliding side windows, diesel heater, defroster, and acoustical insulation. Inside, a deluxe six-way adjustable mechanical suspension seat is paired with ergonomic joystick controls, large LML screen display, and built-in diagnostics via the CAN-bus connected 24-volt electrical system.

Key safety features include anti-two-block system, boom angle and length indicators, load holding valves on all cylinders, outrigger position sensors, backup alarm, hoist drum rotation indicators, third wrap warning, swing lock, seat switch interlock, and bright exterior lighting package. The machine also incorporates a bubble-type crane level indicator and horn to further ensure site safety.

Outriggers feature three extension positions, providing up to 23.6 ft (7.2 m) of spread and 14 in (356 mm) of ground penetration. Each outrigger jack is fitted with an integral holding valve to prevent retraction in case of hydraulic failure.
