The AC 8.500-1 pack incredible flexibility and power into the most compact crane in its capacity class, with the shortest carrier length for any 8-axle crane at 17.1m and optimized transport weight and dimensions for all attachments. With a luffing jib, the AC 8.500-1 reaches a maximum system length of 145.8m. Short rigging times and smart, thoughtful designs boost productivity and safety. The patented Sideways Superlift (SSL) ensures enormous lifting capacity enhancements while the star-type outrigger design provides additional stability. The IC-1 Plus control system allows it to always take advantage of the maximum available lifting capacity when the outriggers are extended in an asymmetrical configuration. This is the renamed model for Demag AC 500-8.
