XCMG QAY1200
After its initial spotlight at bauma China 2010, the XCMG QAY1200 gradually faded from public attention until January 12, 2012. On this day, at the XCMG heavy-duty testing ground, the QAY1200 completed a critical test by lifting a 160-ton QY160K mobile crane to a height of 80 meters, showcasing the formidable capabilities of the XCMG QAY1200 to the world.
On April 26, 2012, the XCMG QAY1200 made another appearance, this time at the Xiamen Construction Machinery Exhibition, where it was announced that XCMG Group had partnered with Fujian Jingfa Lifting Company. This partnership aimed to introduce the thousand-ton crane series to Fujian, with the XCMG QAY1200 being delivered to Fujian Jingfa Lifting Company. This marked the official deployment of the XCMG QAY1200 to operational duties, cementing its role in the heavy lifting industry.
In 2012, the development of the 1,200-ton all-terrain crane was officially recognized by an appraisal committee consisting of 40 experts, including 2 academicians. The successful development of the 1,200-ton crane positioned China as the second country globally capable of producing and manufacturing all-terrain cranes in the 1,000-ton class. Several of the crane’s technologies were pioneering achievements within the country, and the overall product level reached an internationally advanced standard. This milestone not only showcases China’s growing capabilities in heavy machinery manufacturing but also its commitment to innovation and technological advancement in the global crane industry.
