Product Description

Debuting as a high-performance hydraulic truck crane in Kato’s NK series, the NK-250-V is engineered for precision lifting and accessibility in challenging environments. With a maximum lifting capacity of 25 tons at a 3.5-meter radius, it features a robust 33-meter main boom, the longest in its class. An optional jib extends operational reach to an impressive 47.3 meters, enabling elevated work at considerable distances from the crane’s centerline.

The boom design minimizes deflection with a refined cross-section, enhancing stability and enabling precise load handling. This crane is fitted with a 5-section fully hydraulic telescoping boom and a two-stage offsettable jib (settable at 5°, 17°, and 30°). Boom elevation ranges from -4° to 76°, while the swing mechanism offers 360° continuous rotation powered by a planetary drive with multi-disc swing brake. Maximum swing speed is rated at 2.6 RPM.

Outriggers are hydraulically actuated with a maximum extended width of 6.1 meters, middle extension at 4.1 meters, and minimum working width of 2.08 meters, providing outstanding stability in confined job sites. The crane’s front jack extends usage flexibility across uneven terrains, allowing for consistent setup across various site conditions.

The powertrain features either a Mitsubishi 6D22 or Hino P-PEG 6-cylinder water-cooled diesel engine, with outputs ranging from 225 PS to 230 PS, depending on carrier configuration. The maximum travel speed is 70 km/h, supporting rapid mobilization across job sites. Its transmission supports both manual and automatic shifts, ensuring adaptability to terrain and load demands.

A standout feature is the ACS multi-vision system, the world’s first display integrating multiple operation and safety indicators into a single interface. This digital command center allows the operator to view real-time information such as boom length, radius, height, and load moment, thereby improving safety and operability.

In addition, the crane is equipped with a dual-drum winch system and high-capacity oil cooler to maintain hydraulic fluid efficiency during long shifts. The NK-250-V is built with safety in mind, incorporating anti-two block devices, drum rotation indicators, hydraulic safety valves, and multi-stage winch brake systems.

Engineered for high reliability and user-centric operation, the NK-250-V combines functionality, visibility, and safety, making it ideal for urban infrastructure work, high-rise construction, and energy sector projects.
