Product Description
The Link-Belt HTC-1050 hydraulic truck crane is built for flexibility and durability, offering solid lifting performance and dependable travel characteristics. At its core is a three-section, full-power hydraulic boom that extends from 35’ to 85’ (10.67 m – 25.91 m). Each telescopic section is powered by dual hydraulic cylinders and supported by wear shoes for both vertical and horizontal alignment. For users who require greater boom length, an optional four-section boom extends the total reach to 110’ (33.53 m). The boom utilizes high-strength steel side plates formed with diamond-shaped impressions for added rigidity and is rated at 100,000 psi (689.5 MPa).
To expand lifting capability, the HTC-1050 features a stowable 33’ (10.06 m) one-piece lattice fly and an optional 25’ (7.62 m) A-frame jib. Both jib and fly options can be offset at angles of 5°, 17.5°, or 30°, and attach to the fly only, adding versatility when handling elevated or awkwardly placed loads. The boom elevation ranges from -3° to 78°, controlled by two double-acting Link-Belt hydraulic boom hoist cylinders with integral holding valves for smooth and secure boom positioning.
Mounted on a robust Link-Belt 8×4 drive carrier with a width of 10’1.5″ (3.09 m) and a wheelbase of 230.5″ (5.85 m), the HTC-1050 is well-suited for highway travel and rough-site operation. The carrier frame is built from high-strength alloy steel with a box-type construction and integral outrigger boxes. The hydraulic outrigger system includes dual beams that extend to a 22’ (6.71 m) span centerline-to-centerline and retract within the carrier’s width. The system supports full-circle (360°) lifting with front and rear jacks and an optional front bumper outrigger.
The crane is powered by a Cummins 6CTA 8.3 diesel engine, a 6-cylinder, 4-stroke unit delivering 240 hp at 2,200 rpm and 645 ft-lbs (874.62 J) of torque. The engine is paired with a Fuller Roadranger RTO-6613 transmission providing 13 forward and 3 reverse gears, enabling the crane to achieve a maximum road speed of 50.4 mph (81.1 km/h) and a maximum gradeability of 34%.
The hydraulic system features a four-section gear-type pump with a combined flow of 193 gpm (730.5 lpm), delivering power to all crane functions. Hydraulic pressure is rated at 2,900 psi (200.0 Bars), and the system is supported by a 140-gallon (530.0 L) reservoir. Six separate control valves allow for simultaneous operation of swing, boom hoist, telescope, winches, and outriggers.
For lifting duties, the crane comes with the Model 2M winch system as standard. It includes a two-speed motor and automatic brake, delivering up to 15,870 lbs (7,199 kg) line pull and 548 fpm (167.03 m/min) line speed on 17” (0.43 m) diameter root drums. Optional auxiliary winches, including a Model 3M with gravity free-fall control, provide additional load handling flexibility.
The operator’s cab is ergonomically designed with an environmental enclosure mounted on rubber isolators. It features a six-way adjustable seat, tempered safety glass windows with a sliding rear panel and swing-up roof window, and all essential controls for swing, boom, winch, and outrigger operations. Cab instrumentation includes gauges for oil pressure, hydraulic temperature, fuel, water temperature, and audio-visual alerts for engine and winch safety.
The carrier cab is also fully equipped for operator convenience with a heater, electric wipers, four-way flashers, backup lights, adjustable mirrors, and seatbelt-equipped seating. It includes both standard and optional safety features like a fire extinguisher, engine monitoring systems, and weatherproof storage.
The Link-Belt HTC-1050 is a well-rounded, mid-size crane offering performance, ease of transport, and proven reliability. Its flexible boom configurations, powerful Cummins engine, and smart hydraulic design make it a suitable choice for lifting tasks in urban, industrial, or remote project settings.
