Sany STC800E

The SANY STC800E represents the 80-ton class in SANY’s truck-mounted hydraulic crane lineup, offering a balance of strong lifting performance, structural efficiency, and transport-friendly design. At the heart of its lifting system is a 5-section fully hydraulic telescoping main boom constructed from high-strength U-type steel. The boom can extend from 12 meters to a maximum of 49.5 meters, providing a wide working range and excellent load handling across different radii.

Supporting the main boom is a jib system that begins at 9.5 meters and can be extended to 17.5 meters in its full configuration. With this combination, the STC800E achieves a maximum lifting height of 76.5 meters, making it suitable for multi-story building projects, tower installation, and equipment hoisting in energy facilities. The maximum working radius extends to 48 meters, providing considerable horizontal reach.

Mounted on a robust 4-axle truck chassis (8×4 drive), the STC800E is powered by a Weichai D13 Euro V compliant engine delivering 316 kW at 1900 rpm. It is paired with a 10-speed manual transmission (10 forward, 2 reverse) to ensure smooth and efficient driving both on-road and off-road. The crane achieves a maximum traveling speed of 85 km/h, making it well suited for regional jobsite transfers without requiring special transport logistics.

The outrigger system provides full-span stability with a longitudinal width of 7.6 meters and lateral extension of 7.4 meters. These hydraulically operated outriggers offer a strong and stable base during lifting operations. The crane features dual winches—main and auxiliary—each driven by a hydraulic motor, with maximum line speeds reaching 120 m/min. This ensures fast hook travel and efficient cycle times.

The boom elevates from -1° to +82°, with quick response hydraulic cylinders. The slewing system, driven by a hydraulic motor and planetary reducer, allows 360° continuous rotation at speeds of up to 2 rpm, and is equipped with braking and locking functions for added safety.

From a structural standpoint, the overall vehicle length is 14.08 meters, with a width of 2.8 meters and a height of 3.74 meters. The crane has a total gross weight of approximately 48,000 kg, and its compact 12-meter turning radius, along with approach and departure angles of 20° and 12°, allow it to maneuver efficiently in tight or uneven workspaces.

The operator’s cab is ergonomically designed with wide visibility and integrates a digital load moment indicator system, which displays real-time crane parameters, including boom angle, load weight, and outreach. Safety interlocks, overload alarms, outrigger monitoring, and optional camera systems enhance both operation and situational awareness.
