Product Description
The XCMG XCT80L5 truck crane, launched in 2021, represents XCMG’s modern approach to high-capacity mobile lifting with improved roadability, operator comfort, and lifting versatility. Built on a four-axle carrier, the crane features a robust anti-torsion box frame with a fully covered walkway and a K-shaped outrigger arrangement for optimal stability. Outriggers have a maximum span of 7.8 m longitudinally and 7.9 m laterally, with hydraulic controls and safety check valves to secure positioning under heavy loads.
Its main lifting structure includes a five-section telescopic “U” profile boom measuring from 12.95 m to 50.5 m, extended via a dual-cylinder rope telescoping system. Additional reach is provided by a 10.5–17.5 m lattice fixed jib with 0°, 15°, and 30° offset angles, and a 9 m boom extension, pushing the crane’s maximum achievable hook height to 75.5 m. The rated maximum lifting moment reaches 3,352 kN·m on the base boom, while the total rated capacity is 80 t at a minimum working radius of 3 m. The single top sheave allows single-line work up to 6.5 t.
Drive power comes from a SINOTRUK MAN MC11.40-60 in-line six-cylinder, water-cooled, electronically controlled diesel engine producing 297 kW at 1,900 rpm and a maximum torque of 1,900 Nm between 1,000–1,400 rpm, compliant with China VI emission standards. Fuel capacity is 320 L with an additional 45 L AdBlue tank. A 10-speed manual transmission drives the 3rd and 4th axles, with the 1st and 2nd axles steering. Road performance includes a top speed of ≥90 km/h, a minimum turning diameter of ≤24 m, and a gradeability of 47%. Suspension consists of leaf springs at the front and rubber suspension at the rear, and braking is achieved via a dual-circuit pneumatic system supplemented by engine and retarder braking.
The crane’s hydraulic system is powered directly from the carrier’s engine, using a variable displacement pump with load-sensing proportional control valves, balance valves, and an air-cooled oil radiator. The main winch achieves speeds up to 145 m/min (single line, 4th layer), while the auxiliary winch reaches 90 m/min. Boom elevation from -1° to 80° is achieved in about 55 seconds, and full extension from 12.95 m to 50.5 m takes about 125 seconds. Slewing is continuous through 360°, powered by a hydraulic motor and planetary reducer, with a maximum rotation speed of ≥2 rpm.
Counterweight options range from 3.2 t to the full 18.3 t package, allowing the crane to be optimized for transport weight or lifting performance. The operator’s cab features a full-view windshield, safety glass, air conditioning, ergonomic seating with integrated joysticks, and a roof window wiper, enhancing safety and comfort for long shifts.
Overall, the XCT80L5 combines heavy-lift capacity, long reach, road mobility, and operator-focused design, making it well-suited for infrastructure construction, industrial lifting, and large-scale installation work where speed, reach, and flexibility are critical.
