Product Description
Launched in February 2022, the XCMG XCT80L6_2 is a high-performance 80-ton truck crane engineered for enhanced lifting reach, operational efficiency, and transport flexibility. Built on a robust four-axle carrier, its frame is constructed from high-strength steel with a fully covered walkway and anti-torsion box design. The chassis employs a K-shaped outrigger configuration with front double-stage swing beams and rear horizontal beams, offering a maximum span of 7.84 m longitudinally and 7.90 m laterally. Outriggers are hydraulically operated, with safety check valves and double-way hydraulic locks ensuring secure stabilization under maximum loads of up to 690 kN per leg.
The crane’s main lifting element is a six-section telescopic “U” profile boom ranging from 12.7 m to 60.5 m, utilizing a single-cylinder pinning telescoping mechanism for efficient section extension. This is complemented by a folding lattice jib of 10.5 m or 17.5 m, which can be stored alongside the main boom and installed at 0°, 15°, or 30° offsets. When combined, the jib and boom provide a maximum lifting height of 78 m, or 85 m in the optional long configuration. The main boom achieves a base load moment of 3,528 kN·m, with the fully extended boom reaching 2,274 kN·m and the jib combination delivering up to 1,679 kN·m. A single top sheave enables single-line operations up to 6.5 t.
Propulsion is supplied by the Weichai WP10H400E62 in-line six-cylinder, water-cooled, electronically controlled diesel engine, producing 294 kW at 1,900 rpm and a peak torque of 1,900 Nm between 1,200–1,300 rpm, compliant with China VI emission standards. The engine drives a Shaanxi manual transmission with 10 forward and 2 reverse gears. Fuel capacity is 470 L with an additional 35 L AdBlue tank. The crane achieves a maximum travel speed of ≥80 km/h, a minimum turning diameter of ≤24 m, and a gradeability of 45%. The suspension consists of front leaf springs and rear rubber units, while braking includes a dual-circuit pneumatic service brake, spring-applied parking brake, and both exhaust and retarder braking.
The hydraulic system uses an electric proportional variable pump for hoisting, luffing, and telescoping, with a closed-circuit pump dedicated to slewing operations. Both the main and auxiliary winches achieve single-line speeds of 145 m/min and 90 m/min respectively, with a maximum single-line pull of 6.8 t. Boom elevation from -1° to 81° takes approximately 55 seconds, while full extension from 12.7 m to 60.5 m is completed in about 490 seconds. Continuous 360° slewing is achieved via a hydraulic motor and planetary reducer with stepless speed control.
The counterweight system offers a broad range of configurations—up to 33 t total—for balancing lifting performance against transport weight limits. The operator’s cab provides panoramic visibility, adjustable heated seating, integrated control joysticks, advanced human-machine interface displays, a load moment indicator, and climate control for all-weather operation.
Overall, the XCT80L6_2 delivers a combination of high lifting capacity, exceptional boom length for its class, and versatile setup configurations, making it ideal for infrastructure construction, energy projects, and heavy equipment installation where reach and load handling precision are paramount.
