Product Description
The Tadano GR-250N-2 is a highly versatile and compact 25-ton class rough terrain crane built for efficient operation in restricted spaces. Its 4-section boom, constructed with high-strength round cross-section design, telescopes hydraulically from 8.0 meters to 30.5 meters, delivering excellent lifting performance with minimal flex and sway. When equipped with the 8.0 to 13.0-meter two-stage jib, the crane reaches a maximum lifting height of approximately 44.2 meters, with adjustable jib offset angles of 5°, 25°, and 45° to enhance working flexibility in overhead or angled operations.
In terms of lifting capacity, the GR-250N-2 provides 25,000 kg at a 3.0-meter radius with 5-part reeving on the shortest boom. Even at full boom extension (30.5 meters), it can lift up to 2,000 kg at a 24-meter radius. With the jib attached, it can handle up to 2,300 kg at a 78° boom angle.
The crane is powered by a Mitsubishi 6M60-TLE2A turbocharged diesel engine, rated at 200 kW (272 PS) at 2,700 rpm and 785 Nm of torque at 1,400 rpm. The drivetrain supports both 4×2 and 4×4 operation with a maximum travel speed of 49 km/h. The crane’s compact wheelbase and 4-wheel steering system give it a tight turning radius of just 5.2 meters, providing exceptional maneuverability on narrow job sites.
Hydraulics include three gear-type pumps supporting all major crane functions with a 456-liter hydraulic tank capacity. The boom elevates from -1.5° to 83.5° in approximately 47 seconds, and slewing is continuous, achieving speeds up to 2.5 rpm using a planetary reduction system and negative swing brake.
Outriggers are X-type with multi-positioning, reaching a full spread of 6.7 meters and offering secure footing even on uneven terrain. Intermediate spans (5.2 m, 3.7 m, etc.) allow flexible stabilization based on site constraints.
Safety and operation monitoring are managed through Tadano’s AML (Automatic Moment Limiter), ensuring all lifting operations remain within rated capacities. Other safety features include overwind prevention, boom angle limitation, winch drum rotation indicators, and automatic braking systems.
Comfort and control are delivered through a fully enclosed, air-conditioned operator cab with high visibility, ergonomic layout, and foot pedals for winch and swing operation. An integrated rearview camera system and LED lighting support nighttime or low-visibility lifting.
The GR-250N-2 is a compact powerhouse, optimized for lifting in congested spaces, and ideal for contractors looking for a nimble, highly capable machine that maintains Tadano’s signature reliability and advanced control systems.
