Key Features & Benefits
The Zoomlion ZRT1100D533 was introduced as part of Zoomlion’s next-generation rough terrain crane series emphasizing improved lifting performance, structural durability, operator comfort, and intelligent hydraulic control systems. The crane was designed primarily for markets requiring compact heavy lifting machines capable of operating on rough or undeveloped terrain while maintaining high lifting capacities and efficient mobility within construction sites.
A major feature of the ZRT1100D533 is its five-section full-power telescopic boom manufactured from high-strength steel. The main boom extends hydraulically from 12.5 meters to 45 meters and is equipped with a synchronized telescoping system using ropes and cylinders to ensure smooth extension and retraction. The boom head incorporates five sheaves for rapid reeving changes, while a removable auxiliary pulley block is included in the standard configuration. Boom elevation ranges from -1° to 80°, allowing both low-angle lifting and steep high-angle operations. Full boom extension or retraction requires approximately 135 seconds, while boom raising and lowering takes about 60 seconds.
For increased lifting height and reach, the crane can be fitted with an offsettable swing-away jib. The jib consists of two lattice sections with a combined length adjustable from 10.4 meters to 17.5 meters. Offset angles of 0°, 15°, and 30° are available, allowing the crane to work around obstacles and in restricted lifting environments. With the jib installed, maximum lifting height reaches approximately 63.6 meters from ground level. On the main boom alone, maximum lifting height is approximately 46.2 meters.
The crane has a maximum rated lifting capacity of 110 tonnes at a 2.5-meter working radius. Maximum lifting moment on the main boom reaches 338 tonne-meters, while the fully extended boom develops a lifting moment of approximately 105 tonne-meters. The lifting charts provided in the specification document show the crane maintaining substantial lifting performance throughout the boom range under various outrigger positions including fully extended, mid-position, fully retracted, and on-tire lifting configurations.
The hoisting system utilizes independent main and auxiliary winches mounted at the front of the slewing platform. Both winches are integrated hydraulic units combining drum, motor, gearbox, and brake assemblies. The main winch carries approximately 260 meters of 22 mm wire rope while the auxiliary winch stores around 140 meters. Maximum single-line hoisting speed reaches 130 m/min for both winches. The rated line pull is approximately 6,500 kg.
Power for the crane is supplied by a Cummins QSB6.7 six-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine producing 194 kW at 2,000 rpm with maximum torque of approximately 990 Nm at 1,500 rpm. The engine complies with non-road Stage III emission standards. Power is transmitted through a powershift transmission with six forward and six reverse gears. The crane achieves maximum travel speeds of approximately 35 km/h and is capable of climbing gradients up to 56.7%, giving the machine strong mobility in difficult terrain conditions.
The carrier chassis is a two-axle rough terrain design with both axles driven and steered. Steering modes include two-wheel steering, four-wheel steering, and crab steering, allowing excellent maneuverability in confined spaces. The front axle uses a rigidly mounted steering and drive arrangement with planetary reduction hubs and brakes, while the rear axle incorporates an oscillating steering and drive axle with hydraulic suspension cylinders to improve terrain adaptability. Four-wheel steering significantly reduces turning radius and improves positioning accuracy during setup and lifting operations.
The outrigger system consists of four hydraulically controlled H-type outriggers capable of simultaneous or independent operation. Outriggers can be positioned fully extended, intermediate, or fully retracted depending on site conditions. Maximum outrigger spread reaches approximately 7.65 meters transversely and 7.6 meters longitudinally. The crane’s lifting charts account for multiple outrigger positions, giving operators greater flexibility in confined jobsites where full outrigger deployment may not be possible.
Hydraulic functions are supplied through multiple pump systems. Dedicated piston pumps power the telescoping and hoisting functions, while separate gear pumps operate slewing and steering systems. Additional pumps support outrigger and brake systems. Hydraulic oil capacity is approximately 1,100 liters. Slewing is controlled through a hydraulic motor driving a planetary reduction gearbox with a pinion-and-ring arrangement. Maximum slewing speed reaches 1.5 rpm.
Operator comfort and safety were significant priorities in the crane’s design. The cab adopts Zoomlion’s modern 4.0 ergonomic layout with a left-hand drive configuration and large panoramic glazing for improved visibility. The operator seat is fully adjustable and equipped with integrated heating and cooling ventilation. Controls are arranged according to ISO ergonomic standards with pilot-operated hydraulic joysticks and multifunction displays. The crane is fitted with multiple safety systems including rated capacity indicator, boom angle indicator, anti-two-block system, hydraulic safety valves, hoist limit switches, slewing lock device, emergency stop button, and outrigger beam warning systems.
