Product Description

The Grove GMK6300L-1 is a powerful and versatile all-terrain crane designed as a successor to the successful GMK6300L, which had over 450 units sold globally since its 2012 debut. Introduced as part of Manitowoc’s commitment to innovation, the GMK6300L-1 enhances lifting performance, especially at extended boom lengths, and incorporates modern features for fuel efficiency, interchangeability, and advanced lifting control.

This six-axle crane delivers a maximum lifting capacity of 300 tonnes, supported by an impressive 80-meter seven-section main boom, which is among the longest in its class. When fitted with its hydraulic luffing jib and lattice extensions, it can reach a maximum tip height of 120 meters. The improved load charts make the GMK6300L-1 about 7% stronger at full boom extension compared to its predecessor, lifting 14 tonnes at 80 meters vs. 12 tonnes on the GMK6300L.

Driving performance is powered by a Mercedes-Benz Euromot 5/EPA Tier 4 final diesel engine, offering 430 kW (580 hp). The superstructure is fitted with a Mercedes-Benz OM 926 LA engine producing 210 kW (279 hp). These powerplants deliver efficient, compliant operation and superior on-site maneuverability. The crane also features MEGATRAK™ suspension and all-wheel steering, enhancing both road travel and site navigation across varying terrain.

The GMK6300L-1’s counterweight system is fully compatible with other Grove cranes such as the GMK5180-1, GMK5200-1, GMK5250L, and GMK6300L, providing fleet-wide interchangeability and logistical benefits. Depending on configuration, the crane can carry up to 21 tonnes of counterweight, especially in UK market specs.

One key milestone includes the first unit delivery in Indonesia to Superkrane on 22 March 2021, underlining its growing international demand.

The GMK6300L-1 combines strength, reach, and smart engineering, offering industry-leading lifting performance and flexibility across demanding lifting environments such as infrastructure, wind energy, and high-rise construction.
