Product Description
The Liebherr LTM 1080/1 is built on a compact, maneuverable chassis with an overall length of just 12.57 meters and a small turning radius of 8.6 meters thanks to its all-wheel steering system. The crane is driven by a Liebherr turbo-charged diesel engine (D 9406 TI-E), delivering 320 kW (435 hp) and conforms to EURO II emissions standards. The engine powers a sophisticated drive system with optional configurations, including 8×8 drive for all-wheel control, enhancing its off-road and on-road capabilities.
Crane Capabilities and Boom Configuration
The LTM 1080/1 offers impressive lifting capabilities, with a maximum capacity of 80 tons at a 2.5-meter radius. Its telescopic boom can reach up to 48 meters and is complemented by a 19-meter long biparted swing-away jib, which can be mounted at 0°, 20°, or 40°. The rapid-cycle “Telematik” telescoping system allows for swift and precise boom extension and retraction, increasing operational efficiency.
Operator Comfort and Control Systems
Operators benefit from a high-comfort crane cab, tiltable backwards by 20° for better visibility and ergonomics. The cab is equipped with the LICCON computer system, offering advanced functionalities for load monitoring, crane operation, and safety, including wind speed controls and overload prevention. The crane’s operation is further enhanced by its electronic management systems that allow for precise control over lifting, slewing, and outrigger deployment directly from the operator’s cab.
Safety and Stability Features
Safety is a primary focus in the design of the LTM 1080/1, featuring stabilizers with a variable supporting base and integrated supporting pads for enhanced stability during operations. The crane also includes a sophisticated outrigger system that can be controlled from within the cab, adhering to strict safety regulations. The hydraulic suspension system ensures stable cornering abilities, crucial for operations in varied terrains.
Advanced Technology Integration
The crane incorporates modern technology such as the CAN data bus and Liebherr System Bus, which facilitate integrated control and monitoring of all crane functions. This setup reduces wiring complexities and enhances functional reliability and ease of maintenance. The integration of these systems results in a crane that is not only powerful and versatile but also straightforward to service and maintain.
