Tadano ATF60-3

The Tadano ATF 60-3 is an advanced 60-metric-ton capacity all-terrain crane designed for versatility and reliability across both highway travel and off-road lifting environments. The crane is constructed with a five-section telescopic boom, hydraulically extendable under partial loads, offering a working length range from 10.4 meters to 40.2 meters. For increased flexibility and reach, the crane can be equipped with a two-stage jib (9 m or 16 m), offsettable at angles of 5°, 20°, and 40°, resulting in a maximum achievable tip height of 58.4 meters.

Powering the ATF 60-3 is a Mercedes-Benz OM 926 LA diesel engine compliant with Euromot III A/EPA Tier III standards, rated at 240 kW (326 hp) at 2200 rpm and delivering 1300 Nm of torque. This engine is coupled with a ZF-AS-Tronic 12-speed automatic transmission with electro-pneumatic shifting, ensuring smooth performance and optimized power delivery. With a 6×6 drive configuration and all-wheel steering capability, including crab steering, the crane achieves superior maneuverability and stability in challenging terrains.

The hydraulic system includes three circuits powered by a combination of an axial piston double pump and gear pumps, enabling simultaneous multi-function crane operations. The main hoist is equipped with an axial piston motor, planetary gearing, and automatic spring-applied, hydraulically released multi-disc braking system, offering smooth and secure load handling. Maximum line speed reaches 130 m/min, and the crane achieves an infinite rotation speed between 0 and 2.5 rpm.

Safety and comfort are paramount, with a spacious and ergonomic superstructure cab featuring tinted safety glass, adjustable seating, climate control options, and clear instrumentation. The ATF 60-3 is fitted with a comprehensive safety package, including a Load Moment Device (LMD), anti-two-block system, drum rotation indicators, and safety valves on all hydraulic cylinders.

Outriggers are hydraulically telescoping, controlled from both the chassis and the cab, with a maximum outrigger base of 6.40 m x 7.58 m, ensuring stable lifting operations. The crane also has hydro-pneumatic suspension with automatic leveling, ABS braking, and engine braking systems for superior safety and ride comfort during transport.
